Eisenhower’s second term (January 20, 1957).  The medal was sculpted by Walter Hancock and struck by the Medallic Art Company (MACO).  This is a RARE medal as only 1,033 were struck and doubtless many hit the melting pots in 1979-80.  The last one I saw on eBay sold for $520.00.  Among Hancock’s other works was the 1940 22nd edition for the Society of Medalists (Building and Overcoming Adversity) and Eisenhower’s 1953 1st term inaugural medal. This medal is featured in Neil MacNiel’s Book The President’s Medal 1789-1977.  This medal is in STRONG AU Condition with tiny areas of high point rub.  NO reserve.
