Uncertain early king,ca. 610 - 550 BC,  EL 1/24 fouree stater fraction0.80 g. (thus somewhat low relative to normal weight of about 1.10 g), 7 mm.Obv. Head of lion right.Rev. Incuse.A very rare and interesting early fouree, electrum clad over a silver core which is visible in section where there are breaks in the electrum - this is clear in particular on the reverse where you can see a large part of the EL is gone along the rim.  It is unusual to see silver used as the baser material for the core - normally bronze is used and the precious metal is applied over it.  There is some encrustation deposit in the incuse.Average VF, some breaks in the el cladding.
