The chief distinguishing characteristic of this dignified silver peace is the smoky, crescent hue that graces the obverse and gives this Peace Dollar a very intriguing look that sets it apart from others of its kind.   Though a substantial number of Peace Dollars were minted in San Francisco in 1923, very few high-grade specimens remain.
