This lustrous 1896 Morgan Dollar has been awarded a high grade of GEM MS67 by NGC. The surfaces are smooth and bright with velvety fields that exhibit a very prominent carthwheel shine. The obverse of this specimen has a dappled effect of golden-brown patina around Liberty's hair, with a subtle gold surfacing the fields. The reverse distinguishes a rich golden hue on the periphery, yet both the obverse and reverse devices are full of sharp detail that can readily be seen in both the strands of Liberty's hair and the individual feathers of the American Eagle. This is an outstanding specimen that would make an excellent addition to any high-end collection.
