Description
This collection represents an excellent hedge against the turmoil we are experiencing in the equity markets. For protection from the volatility in the stock market, it is a good idea to have some of our money in hard assets, such as these Euros. I acquired this complete set of First Euro Coins from the Postal Commemorative Society under subscription from August, 2003, through August, 2004. It consists of the binder, an introductory panel, and 12 collector panels containing all eight of the euro coins minted by the first 12 countries admitted into the European Union. The accompanying photos are of the binder, the introductory panel, the front of the Austrian panel, and the back of the Austrian panel. The binder measures 12 1/2" by 14" by 2 1/8". It is in excellent condition except for a slight scuff at the lower right hand corner of the front of the binder. The panels are all in the same condition they were in when I received them from PCS. Every panel holds eight coins (1 cent, 2 cents, 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents, 50 cents, one euro, two euros) sealed in an acrylic holder attached to the panel. These coins are all uncirculated. The front of each panel identifies the country whose coins are featured in it, along with that country's national emblem and a reproduction of its national flag. The design on the obverse of each coin is unique to the country to which it pays tribute; the design on the reverse is common to all countries. The first 12 countries to issue these euros are Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. The front of each country's panel includes full-color artwork showcasing that country's heritage and a narrative on the subject of each coin's design. The back of each panel contains a map of the country to which it pertains and a timeline of that country's important national events. The collection cost me $431.40. Buyer will get all receipts and correspondence in my file with the collection. I am asking for a price which covers my purchase price plus shipping only. I do not offer an installment payment plan. The winner will have to pay the entire amount in one lump sum. If you do not intend to pay, please don't bid. Thank you for your interest. I will ship this item via USPS Parcel Post, insured. My shipping price of $15.00 is a flat price for shipping within the U.S.A., which will include the parcel post fee and the cost of insurance. If the cost of shipping within the U.S.A. exceeds $15.00, I will pay the difference. If Buyer prefers a more expensive method of shipping within the U.S.A., Buyer must notify me before paying so I can adjust my shipping price. I will not ship this to any point outside the U.S.A. The binder with all its panels weighs 5 1/4 pounds. I will accept the return of this collection but NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN IF IT IS RETURNED UNINSURED. Buyer must pay all return shipping costs including the cost of insurance. I accept PayPal, money order or cashier's check. PayPal payment is due on receipt of e-mailed invoice by Buyer. Payment by money order or cashier's check must reach me within seven (7) days after bidding closes. I ship within 24 hours after payment clears.
