Description
Incredible bimetal error from Chile Major wrong planchet error - Should Not be struck on bimetal planchet Die struck on both sides (Obverse and Reverse) Dated 2005!! 50 pesos struck on Multi-sided bimetal planchet! 7.54 grams! Error! This spectacular error is NOT magnetic. Obviously components were mis-matched somewhere during the minting process. Who Knows? The Santiago Mint in Chile produces coins for several countries. This bi-metallic error is definately UNIQUE. Chilean 50 Pesos coins are not supposed to be stuck on bi-metallic planchets. In addition, this one is struck on a TEN sided coin. Only a few world bi-metallic coins are struck on multi-sided planchets, how weird is this! 1. The outer ring is multi-sided. Somehow this punched out multi-sided planchet was center hole punched. 2. The multi-sided ring was then inserted with an unknown round core and was joined together. 3. The multi-sided bi-metallic planchet then entered the striking chamber and was struck by 50 pesos dies! This spectacular and dramatic bi-metallic error is uncirculated. I guarentee the authenticity of this coin. Talk about an Error! 50 pesos struck Multi-sided bimetal! This error weighs 7.54 grams! Normal 50 pesos planchet weight is 6.90 Grams! The Pictures are the exact COIN you are Buying.
