Photos do not do this coin justice.  In person, it is bright and shiny bimetallic!!       This attractive bimetallic 1995 1 Peso coin from Argentina shows both the obverse and reverse of  the country's first coin.  Argentina's first coin  was a gold 8 Escudos dated 1813, struck during the country's struggle for independence from Spain.  Unfortunately there was an error in engraving the die for the 1 Peso.  The legend reads "PROVINGIAS" rather than "PROVINCIAS".  The error was not discovered until after the coin was released, and was then quickly corrected.  It is an attractive 23 mm diameter coin, picturing a coin, with an unusual spelling error.   Own this major goof coin which is hard to obtain!
