Get Vendio Gallery - Now FREE! npb2503 Store 1968 No S DIME - PCGS 67 - VERY RARE MAJESTIC RARITIES, LLC1-888-714-1776ELUSIVE 1968 "NO S" DIMEPCGS 67THIS IS AN AMAZING RARITY THAT HAS WITHSTOOD THE TEST OF TIME.The 1968 no S dime is just shy of 40 years old.  Not very old for numismatics but very important when considering over 3,000,000 proof dimes were minted in 1968.  From this mintage of 3 million proof dimes, Walter Breen estimated about 6 "no S" pieces were thought to exist.  In the PCGS population report, they show a mintage of 6 as well.YES, THIS COIN IS VERY RARE!!!To further substantiate the rarity of this coin, to date, both PCGS and NGC have only graded 19 total pieces.  PCGS has graded 16 pieces while NGC has graded 3 pieces.Think about this for a second.  With a mintage of over 3 million proof dimes, a time span of almost 40 years and only 19 total pieces have been graded!How many of these have been resubmissions throughout the years?In about the last 10 years, this coin has only been in auction roughly 10 times that I can find.  In researching this through PCGS, they only show this coin auctioned 3 times from 1997-2007.  I am certain this coin has appeared in auction more than three times in this time frame.Because the 1968 no S appears so infrequently, some pricing journals do not include this coin.  They act like the 1968 no S does not exist.  They mention other "no S" coins, not the 1968 no S.  When this coin is listed in pricing journals, it usually is not reflective of auction pricing.This coin is virtually impossible to find.  When you do find this coin, the price you have to pay keeps increasing tremendously in grades of proof 67 and above.  There are a few cameo coins graded and they do bring a premium.The 1968 no S dime has had the privilege of gracing the cover of many auction catalogs in its few appearances.  Why?  Because it is a big deal when there is a coin for sale that is expensive and extremely rare.There are so many coins more expensive that have a far greater population.  So how does this 1968 no S make the cover?  As already mentioned, this is a rare piece that has been rare and continues to be rare.  There are no hoards at the bottom of the ocean or hidden in bank vaults.When auctioned, this is not the type of coin that has one bid and the hammer falls.  There is excitement and many bidders.  Most dealers have never owned this coin.  How could they with such a small population?I like this coin because its intrinsic value is not tied to precious metals.  The value is based on its true rarity.  In today's coin market, this in itself is a rarity.How do I know all of this information?  I have followed this coin closely for over 10 years.  I have watched the prices rise in auction from $6,000 to just under $50,000.  I believe the 1968 no S will continue to increase due to the demand for rarity, demand for type sets, competition for registry sets and the constant influx of new collectors entering the market.  This is just my opinion.This is a PCGS Proof 67 coin displaying nice clean surfaces.  The obverse of this coin has a slight cameo contrast.  This contrast is readily apparent when looking at both Roosevelt and the words LIBERTY against the deep fields.  The strike is very sharp and complete showing great detail in the design elements.  This coin has no toning, spots, haze or anything like this.  The holder does have a few marks that do not allow this coin to photgraph well.   This is the first of the "no S" coins ever minted and is highly sought after due to the popularity of the Roosevelt series and coupled with the fact it is a variety as well as an error.  With such a large potential collectors/investor base and such a small population, this coin will remain heavily in demand.The coin pictured in the holder is the coin you will receive.I will not accept PayPal for this purchase.  Due to the rarity and high price of this item, I expect many questions.  Please feel free to contact me at nikkostella1@yahoo.comor call me atMAJESTIC RARITIES, LLC1-888-714-1776FREE SHIPPINGFREE INSURANCEI am a member of the PNG, ANA,PCGS authorized dealer,NGC authorized dealer.I am an eBay Platinum Power Sellerwith 100% positive feedback.I am a trusted and proven seller.THEREFORE....BID WITH CONFIDENCEAll coins are guaranteed to be accurately gradedAll coins are guaranteed to meet your satisfactionPlease contact us about our free layaway programPlease contact us with any questionsEXCEPTIONAL QUALITY WITH PERSONALIZED SERVICE!
